WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) is a measure of heat stress in direct sunlight.
It accounts for temperature, humidity, wind speed, sun angle, and cloud cover to
give you the most accurate assessment of heat risk.
Q: How often does the app update weather data?
Heat Safety updates weather data every 15 minutes to provide you with the most
current heat risk information.
Q: What do the risk levels mean?
- Low Risk: Safe for normal activities
- Moderate: Take regular breaks, stay hydrated
- High Risk: Frequent rest breaks required
- Extreme Caution: Limit outdoor exposure
- Extreme Danger: Avoid outdoor activities
Q: How do I add multiple locations?
Tap the "Manage Locations" button in the location card on the dashboard.
This feature requires a Pro subscription to track unlimited locations.
Q: Why isn't my location showing weather data?
Make sure you've granted location permissions to the app. Go to Settings >
Privacy > Location Services > Heat Safety and select "While Using the App."
Q: How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Open Settings app > tap your name > Subscriptions > Heat Safety > Cancel Subscription.
You'll retain Pro features until the end of your billing period.
